Smile

Smile

Smile
I barely talk
I hardly speak
When he sees her he tries to continue to walk
If he tries to talk to her he just blushes and lets out a squeak
He just smiles and waves
She’ll smile back and continue on her way
He knows he can’t talk to her, he’s not that brave
They both continue their day
One is fine, one is not
One starts to fall apart, the smile starts to break
One is truly distraught
One loses sleep and lies awake
But the next day that one comes back with a smile that is broke
That one is broken and hiding behind a smile
That one’s tries to talk to her but starts to choke
All he wants is to talk to her for awhile
But all he can do is smile and wave
His heart is starting to lose its way
His feelings are beginning to cave
She doesn’t know this is it, the last day, tomorrow he will have gone away
