Smile why? Because you can 😀

I am sitting here smiling just because I know I can
I realise that I am alot luckier than my fellowman
That poor soul died a week ago, he got hit by a van
He wanted to live to a ripe old age but that wasn’t part of fate’s plan

So in these times of trouble I am still feeling happy
Heaven’s above just imagine if it was me who got run over and not that other chappy
I guess he may have been dawdling on that road and not rushing tappy-lappy
I always rush like a rapid river to get across real snappy

Yes I know I have alot to be thankful for 
Mercy me that grim reaper is forever knocking on someone’s door
And what with this latest pandemic mortality is an abhor
So you see I am eternally greatful I shall not be downhearted anymore
