Smothered by Dewdrops

"A old poem shortly after my wife passed away"
Â
Tell me! Was it the passionate walks in the moonlit sand?
Or the morning dew on our feet as we walked hand in hand?
The sand castles we nurtured as the waves swelled within us?
Our bonded silhouette we cast while harvesting the dews trust?
Tell me! Why are the mountains standing still?
The valleys once secluded, now impassable walls
Why do waves of dewdrops now smother me at will?
Why do you lie so still, Please, Please! Heed my calls!
The frost on my windows melted as you walked past
The words “I love you” lingered in the remaining fog
Was it our aromas mixing that made the moments last?
Everyday smiled a sunny day free of troubling smog
Do I just lie here while my bones sink in the sand?
Embracing your gravestone was not part of my life’s plan
Tell me! When they buried us, why did they keep us apart?
A voice echoes, ”Don’t worry sweetheart, soon a new start”

Greetings John,
An elegant poem form a love not to be lost, but merely place on separate laiden paths, leading relentlessly back to each other, upon their adventurous end....I give to you my condolences and remember, she has not left you, simply has she, to cut short her ventures on this earth, in order to solidify a new beginning for you both, in your next rendezvous, when again you both, are once again together and content in your next life to be....Â
Keep the faith and wonderful poem of togetherness, here and forever after...
JimÂ
