SMUGGLERS

They smuggled in goods they were not supposed to do
Contraband items they would sell on to me and to you
They tried everything they could to bring in their wares
All of the time wary of the custom officials stares

If a smuggler got caught he would end up in jail
No chance of parole and no chance of bail
How things have changed from those smuggling days
Where free trade now seems to be the latest craze

Let's not forget the smuggler both brave and bold
If it wasn't for them this story would not be told
