Sneakers On The Telephone Wires

In a place vastly populated not called town but city.
We see all phases of life and living, from the rich, to the striving, and even the shitty.
I know where I come from and by so many sights.
Some are most memorable while certain attributes of this section are known only to it's inhabitants.
It is not the food or the tall sky scraping buildings,
Nor the erected land mark founding statues of figures.
No museums or collegiate schools of knowledge come to mind,
Telling me this is where I dwell.
Sports is legendary here and can consume others to be converted,
But still not what my eyes recognize when I roam these streets.
Not the stores, the people, or some useless tourist attraction bell.
This is an unordinary visual that citizens come to pay no mind,
Even though we see it all the time.
The houses, the cars, and the tons of abandoned tires,
Isn't what assures me but simply sneakers on the telephone wires.
