Poem -

So Many Greater

Many a man far great than IĀ
have sough the grace of thine eye
Of nobler birth or financial worth
stouter stature orĀ kingdoms captured
With skill of song or with titles long
owners of wealth or degrees to fill a shelf
So many things I do not own
but from the ends of earth I did roam
TĀ find a beauty that could compare to yours
and in the face of danger did duty tours
And though I have searched far and wideĀ
I found none of which I must confide
That even hinted at the jewel you are
with all things else being sub par
Perhaps there are many greater man than me
but none have a greater love for thee
