so very kindly...

If I would ask you
right now
to come back
I think you would not

I think you would smile
so very kindly
a smile

pause...
in great stillness
maybe hug me
a while

and say
no,
I must stay
here at home
deep in sky

but I love you
and wait
death is not
a goodbye
