Softly Gone Mad

Good looks
Charm
Playing dominoes
On days
So hot
So warmÂ
Nights of indulgenceÂ
Whole days in bed
Endless possibilitiesÂ
Locked inside
Your headÂ
DreamsÂ
Turned to screams
Love
To hatred
A prisonerÂ
Of your fame
Into the mirror you stared
Shaved your eyebrowsÂ
And hair Â
You couldn't have cared
Isolated
AlienatedÂ
On stage you calmly
Put down your guitar
Then painted yourselfÂ
Into a cornerÂ
On your
StripedÂ
Rough floorÂ
Fame
Acid reign Â
Slowly driven insaneÂ
A nice dream
Turned bad
EloquentlyÂ
DelicatelyÂ
Softly
Gone mad

I think your work stands out to me because we speak the same languageÂ
while most around me can not derive any meaning from my attempts to communicateÂ
Thank you for reading and leaving feed back Twilla. I will have to stop by your page for a read.
Take care - SydÂ
Thank You, Syd ?
Fame or notoriety is never as wonderful as it appears, and one is often lost or confused by the attention
A tragically beautiful painting of words.

Yes John I agree. It was a sad ending for poor Syd. Thanks for reading and leaving feed back. Appreciated.

I always think that Iâd go mad if I became famous.....thought provoking read and enjoyed xx â¤ď¸
Thank you Lucy. Yes me too, I'm halfway there already. I'm glad you enjoyed the poemÂ

So many claim that they'd love to become rich and famous.
But would they, really?
Paparazzi following you around taking pictures everywhere you go.
No privacy.
Author Stephen King said the worst mistake he ever made was doing a commercial spot for American Express in the 80's.
Why? Because then everyone knew what he looked like afterward and most hadn't before.
We need to be careful what we wish for.
We just might get it!
Nice writing as always, Syd.

Hi Dean thank you for feedback, I never knew that about Stephen King. It must be very intrusive if you're not an attention seeking person.
Take care - SydÂ
Yep, that comment came straight from the horse's mouth so to speak, Syd.
You're very welcome.
~Dean :)
