SOLD DOWN THE RIVER

We've been sold down the river my friends  
It's getting harder and harder to make amends
Plastic in the sea and waste thrown on the land
I find these things difficult to understand 

No one has no time for each other anymore  
Politeness is a thing of the past that's for sure  
Animals being mistreated and kids being abused 
The world is tainted battered and bruised 

What is the answer I'm sorry I don't know 
Just hope things get better as tensions start to grow
