SOLDIER BOY

SOLDIER BOY

Here's a story of a man named Dave
Enlisted as a soldier he was ever so brave
Only seventeen when he was sent away
Only a boy some people would say

A bomb went off in the South West of France
Dave was on the frontline he didn't stand a chance
Dave's family were informed of this tragic news
Mum cried plenty and Dad turned to booze

The repercussions of war still lives on and on
When people like Dave are buried and gone

Dear Kieran,

Another young lad
A victim of war
Two parents destroyed
Their boy they adored

Peace and Love,
