Poem -

Solid Ground

Dont you ever feel youre too long gone
For me to reach
I want to think those thoughts
You so desire to teach
But lessons go blank
Go empty
A crumbled softened page
When the dark pumps through the crank
When the dark it finds its way
When the dark deceives me so
Your mind knows not to go
Only to be somewhere new
Not to take me with you
But my love, could the ground where we stand be the end of all the search
O then who would care
If the darkness did surround me
Id never take a step
