Some Expensive Fruit

Some Expensive Fruit

If Mark Twain
was licking his lips
in exclaim of this,
"Deliciousness in itself."
Then he'd been
to Spain, South America,
possibly California's coast
where cultivation of delicate
fruit grows...only in locations
the rich live and go;
How would you know?
A mixture of fruitful notes
within one creamy taste
hints pineapple pear melon
banana and strawberry,
I'm sold.
Does deliciousness do it justice?
That at day's beginning
we need seek it's rarity bite
until exhausting night's end,
left without, wanting
what so few produce.
It's too true
seek, thou shall find
only living once why not sample
nature divine.
I tell you though....they warn
but don't believe
there's nothing deadly bout
it's leathery skin and dark brown poisonous seed.
Oh custard apple,
"The most delicious fruit known to man."
Mark Twain, you said it best.
