Poem -

Some Say

I wake up
Your body in my arms,
Again and again,
Remember when I refused so many times to ever do this,
To ever wake up here. With you.
It made everything serious,
And I looked at you one morning
As you stroked my cheek with your hand,
And you smiled
And my heart screamed
I love you
I love you
But you didn’t hear.
So I bit my tongue
And smiled back

Silence is golden
Some say.
