This  “Higher Power”

Like

Through out my journey 
When shit SHOULD crash
Somebody up there liked me
And ALWAYS 
Saved my 
Ass

So if you could please 
Look down on me more
I do need 
The looking
To show me
Which door

I’ll get on my knees
To thank you 
EACH DAY
For all of the lifting
And pointing
The way

And so...
I BELIEVE
In a “Higher Power”
It’s good to 
BELIEVE
In these waning hours

I hope you find yours
Don’t give up, geez
I’m now 64
And 
Just down on
My knees
