Poem -

someone else 's pride

Would you like to be confined
Within a mindless jail
Placed behind bars' of illusion
Someone offered you the space
But you need not answer
Your going there regardless
Because they said so
As you pass the doors
in the hall's
Emotions to the left
Anxiety to the right far length
Walking past the darkness
The horrors
No torch to see the way
Just the tingling sensation
On your finger tips
As you feel the cold bars
Trip not into the depths
Of the past
You may not get back up
Keep walking a gentle stride
you have no choice
Your inner self
On dry ice
Just the inevitable ride
Within someone else 's pride.
