Someone To Love

Someone To Love

my fate was cast when I was born

I’ve learned to live with constant scorn

a rich man’s son with endless money

lying on the sea shore warm and sunny

but at day’s end no one to hold

but those who always hunt for gold

the cars, the yachts, the hotel suites

with women bought on satin sheets

but in the end, I’m all alone

inside this palace I call home

tomorrow I must change this life

cast off these riches, find a wife

walk among the working class

wait in lines with no free pass

park the limo take the bus

if it’s cold don’t’ make fuss

maybe then with help above

I will find someone to love
