" SOMETIMES i WONDER "

Sometimes I wonder, who we are, will we ever know
Him,
There are some things that draw us to Love this world of hurt
The lust of the flesh, our return from flesh to dirt
The strange melancholy that drags me home at night
And leaves me feeling helpless, on my knees, in the dark
The memories, a breeding ground of sinful thoughts
A lonely cemetery where good things go to die
How shall I handle this pain that makes me cry
When I'm alone, when I'm inebriated on this overwhelming hate
I find myself afraid to discover, my enemy, my rage
So I come here to this tiny hill, in the eve, just to pray
And pay attention, to the voice that seems so muffled
As I walk through city streets, and all the intolerance that brings
I long to SCREAM out, "please tell me what to do!"
And the message that I'm learning is that, I have to wait for you
For sometimes when I wonder, alone here on this hill
The answer's whispered, "Feel free to do God's will!"
Yes, this is what I find
Sometimes, when I wonder..
