Somewhere on the road

Out of everything in life
The brilliant moments stand out

So why do the hills still echo
The soul in me

Is there something I'm missing
Something i cannot yet see

A place in time to be

My heart often wonders
Just how big or small
This universe really is

And if dreams of touching
the sky Really exist

Can we fly without wings
If we ever fall off the edge

Is life everlasting
If given to god in pledge

We all fall down
Only to get back up again

Is there solitude
within the pouring rain

Just wish i could see my future
To stop this echoing
That rolls off the distant hills

But that would mean
No surprises
and take away the thrills

I guess I'll have to wait and see
Be the best me that i can be

One day the echoing hills
will cease
My heart fulfilled and my
soul at peace
