Song Oblivion ?

Musical thinking amidst my befuddled brain
Lyrics & melodies over & over again
Tunes & songs from my bygone past
Master pieces from stars & legends to last

Swirling & whirling & spinning around
In complete secret silence
Outside my head there’s no sound
I am in a state of oblivion 
locked in my own bubble within
How can I concentrate ?
With this inward loud din

I’m not sure why this happens
Tho it happens alot
Music enters my inner-thoughts
Then that’s all that I’ve got
It’s not like I’m an artist
I’m no big band on a stage
So why on earth does songs stifle me
Is it coz of my age ?

Don’t get me wrong I love singing
Tho my voice has no power
I will belt out my besties
Whilst I’m taking a shower
I simple adore listening to music when I am awake
But when I’m trying to sleep
What a pain “For Heaven’s sake
