Soon to be Sixty ?

On the third of April I was born
Sixty distant years ago
I was told It was on an early Friday morn
That’s my favourite weekday I know

Well obviously it will be my birthday very soon
In a couple of short weeks from now
I will open my presents & be over the moon
I shall thank everyone with a ‘Wow’

Whilst I am excited 
I do not enjoy growing old
Your aged bones creak, you get aches & pains
& You definately feel the cold

Never mind about age
There’s nothing I can do
My twighlight of life is looming nigh
Yet I have magnificent memories
I really can’t complain
I am greatful for the years that have passed by
