SORRY I'M NOT IN SERVICE

Sorry I'm not in service that's just a polite way  
To say that I'm not working certainly not today 
It can appear on a bus or maybe in a shop  
Putting down tools and it's time to stop 

Sorry I'm not in service I will let others work instead 
I'm not bothered about going out and perhaps stay in bed 
I won't be dreaming about work that's for certain  
As I see a touch of blue sky from behind my bedroom curtain

I know what you're thinking that's a bare faced cheek 
However if you worked all the hours that I do 
You would be the same I know that to be true
