A Soul Forever Lost

I cried out for you but you did not hear me,

like a ghost in the mist you did not see me.

My soul is lost like a ship lost at sea,

the ache that confines me just won't let me be.

A grave is so final there is no going back,

this deep dark hole is so dark and so black.

Like a mad hungry beast it pulls me down,

In this deep dark entry there is no sound.

I long for you to hear my crys in the night,

but this place I'm in it holds such a fright.

I could beat down these doors or scratch at the walls,

but what's the use knowone would hear my calls.

This creature that lives here it stares at me,

I try to break away but it won't let me be.

It's full of so much hatred and sadistic rage,

all it wants to do is lock me up in a cage.

It's lonely here in this land they call knowhere,

I'd rather be anywhere but here or somewhere.

My soul is gone there is no return,

It's a sad sad lesson I just have learned.
