Soul Ties

Soul ties
Still attached
Like I’m in between their thighs
If I said you’re the only one
That would be a lie
Im so addicted
I’m so high
And I know it’s wrong
But it feels so right
I love you
But they hold a place in my life
It’s like I want them on the side
But want you to be my wife
Committing to just you
Is way too much
My heart beats for you
But my soul still craves their touch
I know I planted my seeds
From my damaged roots
While I was enjoying
The taste of your fruits
I know you want me to be
Faithful and true
But I’m stuck on them
like Elmer’s glue
You don’t deserve
What I put you through
You saved yourself for me
While I was doing what I do
But you wanting commitment
Makes you crazy
You were only good enough to have my baby
I know I have the power
I know I have the axe
But how many times do I have to say
Committing to you is too much to ask
Dry those tears
Don’t be sad
My actions showed it
But you ignored the red flags
It’s something about them
I can’t leave alone
You know it’s the truth
You’ve seen the proof in my phone
In my eyes I’m doing no wrong
You’re the reason why
You keep bringing yourself harm
You’re hurt when I step out
But always let me come home
