Sound of a Tear

When a sound is silent,
Yet deafening in its right
Like how a tear falls,
No sound, only sight

Within its single drop,
Containing a lifetime full of noise,
It remains a silent torture,
As it has never been given a voice.

Representing what no one else knows
Except the one who has set it free,
Knowing the scream within its silence,
Encapsulates a lifetime of tragedy.

So although you cannot hear it,
Please know it makes a sound,
A sound so punishingly silentĀ
As it falls gently to the ground
