Spatterings Of A Serial Killer
Over hills I've seen spatterings of red
Across winter's snowy dead
Women, his preoccupation
And his speaking of them, less than agreeable
He carried pornographic photographs
Of bleeding lovers
Ready to be displayed
As sepulchers and tawdry testaments,
He was in the habit
Of taking pills
Comprised of strychnine, morphine
And cocaine, of which the impending
Heart attack
Would be an aphrodisiac,
In short
He was a well dressed degenerate
Of filthy desires and practices
Killing every prostitute he met
With torture driven malice
Where watching them die
Slowly,
Was not enough,
He had to eat their livers
And then vomit them up
Into a cup
Which he then, delivered
To each of their mothers
Just so he could watch
Each of them
Lose
Their souls...

T, this is well written, though I'm not a fan of the subject matter in general, I do enjoy an excellent story and good poetry, serial killers are like modern day vampires and what we fear we try to pacify, maybe so that we can leave our house, lol...they are out there and in numbers, it is a fact, scary thought...I like the way you focus in detail on the individual and the psychology instead of detailing the acts committed, shows your writers's eye and respect for the readers and makes the scenario way more powerful actually....this is a very delicate subject to write on, my friend and if you don't have a freaking clue as to what you're doing it can go off the rails in a hurry, and come out as dog shit (pardon my French) you honor the horror mystery genre and true poets and writers and readers on this here site see that clearly, promoting art and marketing may not always come together, just saying... I made a resolution to myself to be more positive, so I'll stop there....a very polished write Mr. T, be well

Wow!! ~ Thanx CHRIS!!......I agree..... this is a VERY delicate subject to write on..... and I did do my best to remain the poetic observer here..... and not too much the graphic illustrator...... it's amazing to me that you could say I honored the genre...... I try VERY hard to improve with each write....... and you honor me with your insights my friend.......I have a book that has the history of the worlds most prolific serial killers.... and this was a mixture of the deeds of several of them......I appreciate your staying "more positive" bro!! As usual, you challenge my intellect for interpretation. Are we delving into "Jack the Ripper"? Oh well, I'm going to give myself the poetic freedom to respond in that vein. Serial killers are bred not born. One can only wonder what atrocities he was exposed to as a young lad, to morph him into what he became. "Who knows what evil lurks in the heart of man?" "The shadow knows", but he keeps his secrets well.

Hey Thanx LARRY!!.... yes, we are delving into Jack The Ripper partially...... because I have a book on the worlds most prolific serial killers and he's one of them..... but there are so many...... some that were never caught...... Doctors, Lawyers, Chefs, etc. ......some of them never exposed to atrocities as young men...... grew up perfectly normal and then just snapped or let curiosity get the better of them....... and of course the one's that had terrible childhood's......but you're right brother....."
