Poem -
A SPECIAL STAR
There is a special star in the night sky
That shines down on me and you.
It has a special name
It`s called Roo!
The star had a special blessing on the night that Andrew died
You will see it shining extra bright up in the heavens high.
It winged its way to earth on the 4/5/09
To carry his spirit heavenward
Now it has a very special shine.
He joined our spirits now with the Lord
Now he shines down on you and me.
When I look up to the heavens he`s so very plain to see.
If you also look up
You`ll see one shining extra bright.
It will twinkle beautifully to quietly say
" Tell my mum Please don`t cry
I`m with the angels now!
So mum please believe that I really am ok.
Roo was Andrews nick name.

Thank you for reading and taking the time to give me such a lovely compliment sweety, you`ve made my day with what you`ve said about this piece. My husband arranged to have a star named after Andrew as a surprise gift for me. It has a long ascension and declination ( the coordinates in the sky) number after it with his nick name Roo on the certificate that my husband Geoff had beautifully framed for me, our local cancer research charity do this service for you. Our local Vicar came along and blessed the star for us and said a beautiful prayer for Andrew, then the whole family including the Vicar and most of the village partied into the night. It was a wonderful way to celebrate my sons 31 years with us. Thank you again for that lovely comment, I really do appreciate your kindness.
