SPELLING ANIMALS

We learnt from teacher how to spell animals today 
Found this task really easy I have to say 
There was cat and dog three letters each 
Spelling animals was well within my reach 

Teacher thought she would catch me out for sure
When she mentioned animals with letters of four
She spoke of a lamb, goat and a mule too 
Still so easy believe me it's really true 

After four lettered animals obviously came five 
I was finding it a breeze and beginning to thrive
Teacher told us about mouse, horse and whale 
I thought to myself I'm a really smart male 

So after five letters there came animals with six
That's when teacher played some awkward tricks 
For she forgot about six went straight onto ten
Chimpanzee and rhinoceros so difficult for my pen
