Spilled Ink

Spilled Ink

Picking me up
Like a pen
Using me again

Crumbling paper
You decided
You didn't need me anymore

I didn't want to end up that way
So I wrote down the words I'd say

I put in so much work for this?
Well, I'm the one you're gonna miss
You treated me like spilled ink
When you were writing
So I'll treat you like paper
And crumble you in my fist

You tried to throw me away
But I was mended back together
One day
Into something new
And then I figured out
I don't miss you

I used to write messages
But decided
To hold my love precious
Instead of give it to you

I'll treat you like an empty pen
And won't hold you again
Put you away
With the words I had to say
