Spinning
Sorry its so random! Just a few 2am thoughts spun together

Spiders spinning webs,
Ensnaring me in traps before I can realise,
Too late to pull free I can only stare as the walls crumble beneath me,
Threads cover my nose and wrap around my mouth,
I'm drowning and theres no water in sight,
I can smile as much as I want,
But the tears creep up and hold me under,
They watch me with wide eyes,
Too late to realise I cant fend for myself,
Too late to help me.
Pixies flitting to flowers,
Faster than we can blink,
Time flew so fast,
But then it all stopped,
Time froze for just a minute but thats all you needed,
Precious pixie so cheery and bright,
Break her wings and its forever goodnight,
Too late to realise I'm drowning,
Too late to run away,
Gotta tough it out and wait for the flood to stop.
Glass so fragile and see through,
So shallow and predictable,
Hit it until it breaks,
Then bleed in the mess,
Cant fix the broken window,
So replace it with another.

Magic! Long time no see my friend, I'm really going to try and catch up on Cosmos today. What a dark, inky black poem, but nonetheless beautiful in all respect. I think I especially enjoyed the pixie analogy, how our childhood dreams dont come true... though when aiming for unrealistic goals, maybe that's for the best. Really enjoyed this one Bell! Hope you are ok my friendĀ
Thanks Max, all is well. This poem took a little while because I knew what I wanted to say but I had no words to say it. Hope you are well too.
