Springtime

Rain falling down
Watering the ground
First signs of Spring
Pretty little things
Pops of color draw our focus
Hyacinths, Daffodils, Iris and crocus
Azaleas with their cheerful hues
Dogwoods, redbuds, Magnolias too
Fresh green grass that tickles our toes
The sweet smells that entices our nose
Lilacs Violets and Honeysuckle Vine
Close your eyes, it smells divine
Pansy, Peony and Tulips galore
Looking around, there's so much more
Skies so blue, clouds like cotton
Views like this will never be forgotten
Spring is that magical time of year
That makes the heart full of cheer
Spring brings hope in life anew
Bursting with thoughts of what to do
We cast off winters dreadful gloom
Sweep it away like dust with a broom
The wind is whispering come let's play
In the house, no longer to stay
I want to feel the wind on my cheek
And hear the rippling of the creek
I hear the message loud and clear
Glorious Springtime is finally here!
