Standing still

Always in motion
Our world always spinning
Never standing still
As Our spiraling galaxy
Hurtles through space
At breakneck speed
So do our lives
They are always in motion
in much the same way
But yet we cling to
What is familiar
Becoming distraught
When things slide away
Trying to grasp on
To something that never stays the same.
But we cling onto our grief
Reliving moments of our greatest loss
Letting Our trauma
Define us
And Telling us who we are.
While all around us
Life is always in motion never standing still
