Star of My Heart

Look at the stars
shinning, twinkling 
bright in the sky. 

Light, 
thousands if not millions
of years old,
most belonging to long 
dead stars. 

Death isn't the end, 
not always, 
a part of you will always linger. 

Maybe not in the sky, 
like a star, 
but in my heart
in my soul. 

Your light will always burn
until we are united once more.
