" the stark horrors of bourbon "

" the stark horrors of bourbon "

In a heavy darkness, I am burdened to the core
By the weight of elemental conversations
Where my looseness of tongue has wounded
My dear friend, so deeply
That with emptiness in my heart, I falter
I stumble into the stark horrors of Bourbon
And it's Devil's hold
On my inhibitions, so I storm through the town
Naked and alone
With only a gun in my hand
To seek revenge upon my own dying wretchedness
And self-loathing forces my hand
So I lay in the muddy waters of alleyways
And the urine soaked boxes
Of lonely desperation
Where the sting makes it's way
Into the heart of me
And I am arrested
As an animal
Caged
And on public display
I whimper
Into my own feces........
