Poem -

starlings

I saw them squandered
To the west they flew

Rose to the air like the crumbs of
black bread
Chaos perfected
Collectively led

My neck cricked and slanted
Turned up to the sky
and no one to marvel
Except cat and I...

squandered,

M ~

Being Me

A lovely poem! Was it a murmaration, or simply a flock? Simple things are so powerful. Mother nature is simply awesome ... terrifyingly beautiful and beautifully terrifying x
