Static

Static

The day I found out my sister had cancer, we had gone to the Amazium
The day I found out my sister had cancer, my main concern was if my book would get wet.
Then I found out.
My bones filled with bees
My heart became a drum, bum-bum-bum
My eyes turned into oceansĀ
And my head filled with static
I cried
I became a tsunami of tears and rage
Rage at GodĀ
Rage at myself
Because when I wasn't with her, the static was gone and I could think
The oceans became land
The bees left my bones
And my heart stopped being a drum
Bum-bum-bum.
But when I saw her
The oceans filled again
The bees came back
My heart became a drum once more
And the static filled my head.
The day I found out my sister had cancer
A blue screen covered my life
An error
A mistake.
Static filled my head
