Poem -

Steady Tears

They fall down, down, on your puffy cheeks

They fall down, down, caressing your lips

They fall down, down, reaching your chin

Clear and salty, they fall down heavily

Like a river stream, they fall down steadily

They fall down turning your blue eyes red

They fall down staining your pretty face

They fall down causing your heart to ache

Sad times always trigger them to fall

But happy times seem to also bring them forth

They fall down, down, each time more unique

They fall down, down, when we can't speak

They fall down, down, when we are weak

When they stop falling we feel relieved

When they stop falling so does the grieve

When they stop falling, the stop is brief
