steps

steps

these worn shoes
hurt like Hell
from the pressure
of outside forces
austerity was a clause
in their purchase
my heel rubs
inuendu and false witness
though my gait is weary
I'm not that young
but my step is true
as the day is long
the spirit is willing
I can walk   faster
when my heart is thrilling
don't stop me
on my journey
with abrasive words
the skin of my soul
is hard..and thick
take a walk in my shoes
if you think you are fit

Hi Pauline, to see things from someone else's perspective is sometimes difficult, but always worth while. I loved the metaphor, another brilliant peice...I really enjoy your work
