STORMY MEDITATION

STORMY MEDITATION

Strong is the wind, blowing out the cobwebs,

throwing garbage from the brain,

Howling sharp gusts scream,

Holding off the rain.

Stormy meditation

Atop a windy ridge,

Natures mantra commands,

in a loud proclaiming dirge.

Twigs from tortured trees fly by,

Birds cling to branches, scared to fly.

The mantra whines on and stronger,

Can the meditator hold his trance much longer.

Suddenly the howl grows quieter,

head on shoulders feels much lighter,

and the birds regain their quest,

the meditator arises, stretches,

Indeed has passed the test.
