Strange Changed Worlds

She felt the force of it
immediately
The catastrophe of self
The hurricane that raged through
The destruction of her wealth
It was obliterating, severe
Then when she looked about she
saw
That every single grain of self
was stripped back, bare and raw
The internal deserts... shifted
Only an island of her left,
She... landlocked there, in
strange changed worlds
Companioned by bereft.

An excellent write here my friend. A sudden shift in life can leave us feeling desolate and lost. Disconnected from life. That is what I felt here
hugs ❤️x
Aw thanks Gwen...exactly.. sorry fir late reply...hope all is well with you..hugs 💖
I love this expression. It is a perfect description and the poem goes on to explain that catastrophe so that we are left in no doubt that she really is
And the feeling is overwhelmingly
Absolutely sharp writing. Superb x
Thanks Tina...always appreciated 💖
Had that experience in my life years ago.
Like a bomb goes off and your thrown a great distance.
When finally you get on your feet you look around and nothings there.
inspired words.
