~ STRANGE DAYS ~
During moments of silent reflection
A raven soaks up the light in one's eyes
As though a dark baker's bona fide confection
Fire's up to where tall temperatures rise
----------------------------------------------------
The heat, a blistering reminder
Of myths and strange creations gone by
Squared off doorways and pitiful pathfinders
Seek out dark places where the Ice Man hides
------------------------------------------------------
The black is blocked by dark bathroom towels
And sweat river-rolls upside downways
With doorways bleeding into Beelzebub's bowels
So Sophocles can sing of these ever-so strange days
-------------------------------------------------------
Strange days covered in deep purple obligations
Siphoned through the rinds that materialize
As oozing obstacles writhing through complications
When will the dark angels finally realize
--------------------------------------------------------
That Strange Days
are a fog in our eyes
That Strange Days
are harmonically perfect
That Strange Days
are the ultimate doorways
That Strange Days
can lead a soul home...

You  did well on this poemÂ
Thanx GREG!!....out!!......T xo  : )
I suppose it is a sort of balance — the balance this Universe needs. After the darkness, light does indeed come — eventually. This was a good poem for yesterday as it was Imolc — time to let the light back in, a time to worship those lighter days ahead, a reminder that after Winter, Spring is on its way. Great writing x
Thank you so much BEING ME!!....for it is most difficult to keep the truth rolling Uphill!!......no one wants to believe that there is something else keeping the margin of humanity rolling on along into the truth of the unknown..........the chances of humanity to roll forward and survive such a circumstance is most negligible to say the very least.......Peace out girlfriend....lots of love to you and your sweet love of ours!!....peace Out!!......T xo : )
Deep And dark Tony...though on this occasion I have to disagree with our lovely Tina...sometimes only a twighlight returns...forever dimmed, though that might be vecause I'm a miserable bitch lol...fab write x

Hello Tony, wow this was such a thought provoking read. It actually brought the image of an art piece by M. C.Escher called Relativity to my thinking. In the image there are upside down stairs and right way round stairs. Some people are shown having to clamber up the stairs, whilst another sharing the same stair from a different angle meander down easily. For some reason your words depicting the intricate workings of dark creating light, brought this to the forefront of my mind. I guess for some of us,dark will always suppress our thinking and challenge us deeper. Whilst for others they rise and spend more time seeing life from a lighter perspective. But life needs both dark and light to exist...to create balance. I just think some of us feel out of balance due to an overwhelming amount of darkness, which can/will take an enormous dose of light to rebalance and draw focus to a more positive outlook. It’s like falling down a rabbit hole with no means of getting out. Some become lost in the dark.Â
I really thought your last stanza encapsulated the intent of this piece. That there is power and insight to be found from the dark. That we shouldn’t fear it.Â
Truly brilliant creative writing. I also love how you structured this. Because life comes in moments, stages that eventually lead us to spiritual growth and understanding...or at least we hope it doesÂ
Anyway I waffle...needless to say this is getting a big pin from me :)Â
Great writing lovely xxÂ
