Strength In Stillness

Sunset shine over me,
Wash away my pain and suffering.
Hold me close, don't let me go,
Tell me all I need to know.
Behind the clouds, I see,
A world full of grace and dignity.
Let it shine, let it rain,
Let my efforts not be in vain.
Feeling the soul of the trees,
Planted roots, branches reaching.
Let them grow, let them flower,
I see nature and its wholesome power.
I am so much more than I need to be,
I can see beyond the materiality.
Give me purpose, give me strength,
I know that I can go the length.

Yes I was actually sitting by the water watching the sunset that is in the photograph. Thank you for your thoughtful comment.
I can feel this poem, Joseph.
Beautifully described what you saw and felt. Yes, there is a great
strength in stilness.
