Stripe 50

I walked gracefully up the holy hill
looking for my father, the son and the holy ghost

While walking up the hill I thought back to my younger days
the innocents we had and the games that we played

I thought about school
the dances, the shoes
clowning in the classroom
we were all fools

I thought about the girls
the pretty ones, the ugly ones
the good ones, the crazy ones

I thought about gangs and guns
living life on the run
I thought about my daughter
I thought about my son

Even though life was good
who will miss me
Desia Scales is gone forever
you've now witnessed
