Tis Such A Tonic ?

I have got a spring in my step today
My friend & I has just had a lovely walk
Time passed by so swiftly as we were engrossed in our talk

Such a beautiful Spring-like day
A blanket of blue cloudless skies
We both donned our shades coz the sun was dazzling our eyes

Birds were sweetly singing
Welcoming the milder weather
Some were fooled thinking Spring had sprung 
We saw a blackbird collecting a feather

It’s a perfect day for walking
There was no annoying breeze
I could have almost worn my shorts
It was rather warm about the knees

Mid February tho it could be mistaken for May
Long may it last till Winters over
That’s what I say!!

I adore this kind of climate
It makes you glad to be alive
Such a tonic, full of positivity
One’s well being does thrive

I’m hoping this good spell continues
It’s from the ‘Jet-stream’ down below
There’s defeniately heat in that sun
We shall receive a healthy glow

So I look forward to the morning
When I will be out strolling again
Fresh country air is marvellous
It gets the blood pumping in my vein

Plan your route, grab your shades
You will need some walking shoes
Climb up a little hillock
You will be in awe at the views

Don’t stay indoors like a hot-house plant
Make the most of this warm air
Mother Nature’s beauty does enchant
it will make you stop & stare

I love to ramble, 
it helps to rid the extra weight
I simply walk off what I eat
never worrying whats on my plate
