The suffering

The suffering

There is no where crueller than the earth
By the river Babylon where you walked
With your child in your arms
Whom you shalt give as sacrifice
For the sins of the father

There is no where crueller than the earth
As you climb the great mountain Atlas
Your hands bloodied by the sharp rocks
As you take your last breath suffice
To die beneath

For you and your children
That came upon this earth
More than just a journey
For a total sacrifice
Your heart worn
Death has come

There is no where crueller than the earth
Tears like rivers flow
Sinking into the earth
Screaming out for God
The God of sacrifice

For there is
There is no where crueller than the earth
