Sugar From the Sky

Tell me about the time,
When you lost your mind,
And the sugar stopped falling from the sky.
Did you have fun?
Did you still feel loved?
Did you find that tree?
The one you always wanted to climb,
And collect buckets of sugar from the sky?
Did you ever taste the treat or was it up too high?
And you were afraid to die.
You wrote me a song, one time,
About two lovers interwined
Drinking glasses of wine with sugar on the side,
And they danced with their hearts
In the showers of sweet.
We have a cloudless sky, yes, you and I.
Nothing falls upon our heads.
When we sleep, we dream,
Of living way up there,
And crying tears of sugar and lead.
Together we'll be fine.
Together far too high.
With no where to plant our feet.
Just a sugary sky, yes, for you and I.
To float, to die, to be.
