Suicide Is Painless

Every tear shed tells its own unique story.
Violence and barbarism tested his sanity !
Not one more hell-born shell can he take.
Was Gods will and peace easy to forsake ?
.......................................
Sour blood has run over him as a torrent !
Rivers of souls are driven to cruel torment.
He is just another victim of biting conflict.
His mind is shredded as none can expect !
......................................
To escape this horror there is a solution.
He wishes to find a heavenly resolution.
No more days of this world is he to see !
He knows the measure of Mans fragility !

WOW!! SIR WATERS!!...... my father did two tours in Vietnam and a nine month stint in a MASH unit in Korea!!....... this is a strikingly truthful .....and accurately profound piece...... NO words brother poet!!.......PINNED......wow!!.......LOVE and ROCKETS!!......T xo. ?✳✴☀
Your father saw the horror of combat and its effects on some souls. He proudly served his country and must understand from experiences how care for those suffering stress disorders, from doing the same, must be maintained.
Wishing you all the best.
Also!! the theme song from one of the longest running TV shows in history ....called "MASH"........ was named "Suicide Is Painless!!"........ smiles.......T xo. ?☀✴✳
I used to watch it every Sunday night, without fail, when first broadcast !
Loved the series. It is still showing on Forces TV over here. Great characters.
:)
Fantastic portrayal, very powerful write *****
So pleased you saw the merit in writing on this topic and could relate to the poems message.
Hug.
Though my father never faced combat in the Air Force he has PTSD along with a few other mental disorders and he has attempted several times and it's very hard to watch people struggle through it and how difficult it is to find a treatment that will work. But I believe his father was in Vietnam and this is a very accurate portrayal of what many people who have seen and experienced the devastation and hopelessness of war have been through. A powerful write.
