summer on the beach

water clear like a glass table

sun as hot as the pavement on Hollywood beach

the water is cool

like ice cubes in a boiling pot

the sky adjoined with the sun

the day is beautiful, like violets with wind blowing above them

murky seaweed

hot air shimmering the lights

a scortching temperature

on my burning skin

but still, its like violets in the wind

seashells clacking with every step I take

the sand is flaming, torrid, and it hurts

the beach, the beach
