Summer Wind

Summer Wind

Dry and incessant wind
rancorously blowing the trees,
devoid of Autumn hues,
dancing in warming breeze.
Withering them until brown
eager to welcome morning dews.
Smashing one by one
spurning the furious wind
flickering to the ground....
like confetti sans sound effect.
Butterflies looming around
the least you expect.
At night, whooshing
roaring enough to drown out
the bird's humming melodies.
