Summertime sounds

Crickets clicking,
Flying insects buzzing and whizzing,
Mosquitos,
Flies and wasps with their wings doing overtime.
Birds with their sometimes beautiful singing.
Other birds cries like the shriek of a child.
Whilst others are ever so meek and oh so mild.
Some of them squawk,
Reminding You they’re wild.
Airplanes roaring as they fly through the skies.
Heat thrumming as the earth dries,
Hazy horizons as the sun causes mirages’,
Whilst the summer sun plays tricks on our eyes.
Warm summer breezes,
Brushing the farmers crops,
Gently they sway side to side,
Whispering ears of Corn,
Causing ripples in the crops like that of the seas tide.
Seaside trips,
ice cream van machines whirring and doughnuts bubbling in the fryer,
Waiting for you to choose any of your favourite of dips.
Fish shop queues and different families banter,
As you await a portion of your favourite chips.
Waves crashing on the stone or sandy beaches floor adding to the sounds of summer,
Of which we all want a good few months more.
Children playing in the parks,
In the streets,
Sounds of their laughter and their running stomping feet.
These are just some of the sounds,
That in the summer,
 our ears do meet.
Some of them we don’t like but most we openly greet.
There’s more sounds of summer that I’d loved to have mentioned,
But for now,
I’ll leave you with my words and hope they stand out and grab your attention.
