Sun and Star

Every star may be a sun to someone,
That warms & nurtures,
An ever present,
The glow that awakes from stilled obsidian
An ever present,
An always,
A taken for granted,
Yet the sun rises & sets, & stars remain,
& time ticks, seconds become hours & years pass
You & I,
sun & star,
An ever present,
As day melds into night, as light seeps into dark,
As time needs space,
You & I,
Sun & star

Very thought provoking write, i greatly enjoyed the comparisons and parallels
Thank you, Robert. I’m glad you enjoyed it. It would have been Carl Sagan’s 87th birthday today. A man who introduced me, via books & TV, to the wonders of the universe. I wrote this today, it’s about a love story of sorts, not realising it was Carl’s Sagan’s birthday also. I’m hoping he would have enjoyed it too with the references to the universe 🙏😁
A lovely write Tracey x
Thank you so much, Marion 🙏😁 x
Time and space means the universe that we know, relatively speaking ;)
It’s actually a poem about two individuals in a relationship, who have taken each other for granted, needing time..& space ;]
